About Us
Enlightening Minds, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers academic and social emotional services, for school-aged children who have experienced a traumatic event. These events include, but are not limited to experiencing the death of a family member, parents divorcing, abuse, transitioning from foster care to home, juvenile facility to home, incarceration, etc.. Often times, a child's academic performance may be negatively impacted by trauma resulting from overwhelming events. In order for students to not experience barriers for success in school or in the community, academic and emotional support are needed to cope with these traumatic events.
We provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, small group tutoring sessions in the areas of Math and Reading, and GED tutorials.
What We Offer:
Tutoring Services
(K-12)
Tutors use research-based interventions to address reading and math deficits.
GED Tutorial Sessions
Tutors assist youth with preparation to take GED test.
Social Emotional Skills Workshops
Students participate in workshops that address social emotional skills.
